Commonwealth Business Forum 2022 : Common action, common success

« Delivering a Common Future: Connecting, Innovating, Transforming. »

This is the core theme of the Commonwealth Business Forum launched on Tuesday, 21st June 2022, in Kigali- Rwanda, in which a delegation of member companies of the Cameroon Employers’ Organisation (GICAM) is actively taking part.

The Kigali Conference & Exhibition Village (KCEV) accomodated the opening ceremony chaired by the President of the Republic of Rwanda, H.E Paul Kagame, who honoured the thousand of participants at the ceremony by his presence in the opening panel on the central theme of this great meeting, alongside Dr Akinwumi Adesina, President of the African Development Bank ; Mrs. Amali Chivanti de Alwis MBE, CEO of Subak ; Mr. Makhtar Diop, Managing Director and Executive Vice President at IFC-World Bank and Dr Andrew Forrest, Non executive chairman Fortescue Metal Groups.

For the members of the panel, it is essential to work together, to be active in shaping the common future, in order to achieve tangible and substainable results. Collective action is what it takes to to make things happen ; collaboration is thus the answer to global challenges.

This meeting is an important occasion to come together to address challenges and to build on innovative technological and economic opportunities to solve key problems.

The Forum hosted as a partnership between the Government of Rwanda and the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC) has brought, together up to 1000 participants, including Heads of State and Government, business leaders, innovators across several sectors, global thought leaders and the Youth who will stay utill 23rd June, in the country of a thousand hills.
